Under California&#8217;s version of the Mechanic&#8217;s Lien Law, when a Notice of Completion is recorded then the time clock is started for all those who want to prosecute a lien.<\/p>\n<p>The Notice must be recorded within ten days after actual completion. Prime Contractors (those who signed a contract with the owner) have 60 days; subcontractors have 30 days.
